Only 4 days and we greet a New Year.

It’s time to do an inventory of the year that is ending, and plan for the one ahead.

In my heart, a song of Thanksgiving rings as I type these words.

It’s been a year filled with challenges for my family, as my husband lost his job of 12 years after a workforce reduction on the first week of January. We looked at each other, puzzled, and braced for the challenges ahead.

BUT GOD.

The longer I live, the more I grasp the power of those two words Joseph said to his brothers when he revealed his identity as the second in command of the most powerful nation in the world, realizing that the evil that they planned for his destruction was turned for his good. His nation’s good, as a matter of fact. Genesis 50

BUT GOD.

We had days when we didn’t know how we would pay our bills… and yet, not one was late.

We had days when fear tried to rob our peace, and still, it didn’t.

Because we trusted  Yahweh, our Covenant God, His peace and joy didn’t leave our hearts through it all.

Steve found a temporary job after 4 months of unemployment. And through that job, he met the company that hired him permanently… a better job than he ever had.

While waiting for God’s perfect timing, we didn’t stop.

I kept writing, encouraging my readers to trust and believe, while telling my heart to do the same.

Steve and I worked hard, together with my ministry team, planning our first Women’s Conference, SHE SOARS, which took place in April at Kennesaw First Baptist church.

Almost 150 women attended the conference. After the morning section, the altar flooded with women who laid down their strongholds before the Lord. At least one decision for Christ was reported. But many others recommitted their lives to Jesus, and we heard the countless testimonies about each workshop, the worship, and everything else that took place.

During the year, I was blessed to be able to share the message of my book Twelve Inches with hundreds of women during several speaking engagements, and was touched by the testimonies and the overwhelming response during each altar calls. To God be the glory!

My messages continued to be translated to Spanish and Portuguese by our volunteers, and I had the blessed honor to speak in my native language for the first time in the summer, at the Luteran church of Florianolpolis, Brazil. This was a dream-come-true to me.

TWELVE INCHES, sold over 3,000 copies in the first semester of the year. I am humbled and thankful.

And now, as the New Year approaches, I wanted to share with you what is in my heart as plans for the New Year, and would like to ask you to consider partnering with us, in prayer and by giving:

• On the second week of January, I am meeting with the pastor and women’s director of a church that is interested in hosting our second SHE SOARS CONFERENCE in the Fall.
• I am finalizing the TWELVE INCHES Bible Study, and plan to launch an online study group in the first semester. I will also be looking for churches who would like to host the Twelve Inches Bible study. If you read the book, you know how practical the teachings are, and the discussion materials will allow women to take a step further in “bridging the gap” between what they KNOW about our God and how their emotions get on the way of strong faith

If you have been blessed by my messages, and would like to help us reach more women through speaking engagements and bible studies, I ask you to pray about becoming a partner with our ministry. Putting a conference together is no piece of cake, and it’s an expensive endeavor as well.
